About the project

Yes. Everyone can use the Kebab Guru app and join the Discord community completely free of charge. Membership only grants more access to content and extends action limits.

Your Guru level and capabilities (limits) also grow regardless of whether you are a club member.

Club members have a few exclusive privileges:

• A special badge in the app and stylistic upgrades (avatars and the like)
• A chance to receive symbolic gifts – stickers, t-shirts or even kebabs
• Priority access to test new features (missions, a discount system, etc.)
• Greater visibility in the community and symbolic support for the project.

Membership isn’t a faster route to a higher level, but a way to show that you care about the project, its quality and direction.

• Test the boundaries between food discovery, service, business administration, community building and game elements.

Everyone rates kebabs differently. These points can help you choose and explain your score. Judge a kebab for what it is and how it is served – not every kebab needs to be the same.

• What’s inside. Is it tasty, served at the right temperature and prepared well? It may be meat, fish, seafood, cheese or plant-based.
• Serving. Does the flatbread or bread taste good and feel properly prepared? Is the wrap, pita, plate, box or skewer easy to eat?
• Ingredients. Are they fresh, good quality and a good match? More ingredients do not always mean a better kebab.
• Sauces and seasoning. Do they taste good, suit the kebab and come in the right amount? Some kebabs do not need sauce.
• Overall taste. Do all the flavours work together, and is the kebab made well?
• Value for money. Are the quality and portion worth the price?

Rate the kebab place separately. That review is for the service, order accuracy, waiting time, cleanliness and atmosphere.

At the moment there are 3 actions you can take in the app:

• Visiting a kebab place (check-in) – a location-based mark for visiting a place. Starting limits: 1×/day at the same place, 2×/week at the same place, 10×/month.
• Rating a kebab experience – rating the taste, packaging and craftsmanship. Starting limits: 1×/day at the same place, 1×/week at the same place, 3×/month at the same place, 2×/week in total

Each of these experiences gives experience points (exp) that help raise your guru level. As your level rises or you become a club member and thus increase trust, you can raise some of the limits.

We limit things not to limit – but to keep quality and avoid spam.

We do not exclusively support, and don’t intend to support, any single kebab place. We give all businesses equal rights and recommend the ones that delight us.

We don’t sell rating and ranking positions, but we are open to collaboration offers and support.

Unlike Google, Wolt or Bolt – we don’t let you order food through the app, but we aim to provide all the information you need in one place, showing every option.

To make searching for kebab places, eating kebabs and spending time with others more interesting and engaging, we use game elements.

Right now we have a basic mechanic of levels, actions and rewards, which we’ll keep improving with the community’s help and ideas. A combat system, rankings, achievements, missions… There are no limits.
